I thought our customers would love it too, so I started baking fresh butter croissants in our Norwalk store. From there Bethy’s Bakery just grew and grew. Today our team of bakers start at 3 a.m. every morning, firing up the ovens to bring our customers the very best in breads, cookies, cakes, pies, and our famous apple cider donuts, made fresh in front of you all day long.”

Stew Leonard’s breads are made from scratch every day without preservatives or dough conditioners. Our all-butter croissants are crafted using the recipe and technique Bethy learned in France in 1984. Our bagels are boiled the old-fashioned way and hearth baked, crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. Stew Leonard’s award-winning chocolate chip cookies get their signature taste from semi-sweet chocolate chips and other all-natural ingredients. Apple cider donuts are made fresh right before your eyes. Their amazing taste comes from the fresh cider used in the dough. You’ll even find elegant French macarons, direct from France. No wonder our customers can’t get enough!
