Pigs in a Blanket: Stew Leonard’s cocktail franks feature a 100% all-beef kosher hot dog individually wrapped in blanket of puff pastry. In the days leading up to Super Bowl Sunday, we’ll sell 2,900 packs of cocktail franks – that’s 94,000 little pigs in a blanket, making it the ultimate ONE-HANDED appetizer! You’ll find Stew’s Pigs in a Blanket in our freezer section, along with Stew’s Cocktail Size Vegetable Egg Rolls as well as Stew’s Party Collection featuring 40 pieces of classic hors d’oeuvres, including potato puffs and spinach turnovers.
Stew’s Pizzas: Stew’s handmade Artisan Flatbread Pizzas are perfectly proportioned and fit nicely across your oven rack for a fresh and easy meal or snack! Heat until the cheese is warm and bubbly before slicing and serving. Choose from classic Cheese, Roasted Garlic Caprese, Pepperoni, Buffalo Chicken, and BBQ Chicken. If you’re gluten free, give Stew’s Cauliflower Pizza a try: our pizza makers have swapped out traditional pizza dough with cauliflower and rice flour to create a thin and crispy pizza that’s packed with both health benefits and taste!
Stuffed Loaves: Stew Leonard’s Stuffed Loaves are loaded with fresh mozzarella cheese, marinara sauce, and options like sausage and peppers, meatballs, or chicken. Simply bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes and serve. Slice into thin strips for appetizer portions!
Chips & Dips: We’re not talking about popping open a can of onion dip here. Stew’s team of chefs prepares our dips every day, using the same fresh ingredients you have in your own kitchen. Fans especially love the 7 Layer Dip, with hearty layers of black beans, guacamole, salsa, sour cream, chili con carne, lettuce, and cheddar cheese, as well as the Buffalo-Style Chicken Dip, with chunks of chicken breast blended with blue cheese and mozzarella, featuring a kick of heat from cayenne pepper and paprika. Serve with Stew’s freshly made Kettle Cooked Potato Chips, which are deep fried in small batches right here at Stew’s.
Making your own guac? Stew’s will sell more than 50,000 ripe avocadoes the week leading up to the Super Bowl.
Grilled Shrimp: A fresh, easy, and healthy appetizer shortcut! Our chefs take sweet and succulent shrimp, marinate them in olive oil and a special blend of spices, and grill them fresh daily. Available in regular or Cajun in Stew’s seafood department.
Coconut Shrimp with Mango Salsa: Escape with a taste of the tropics! Our juicy shrimp is breaded by hand with sweet coconut and fried to a crispy brown. Our chefs then pair the shrimp with our bright and flavorful mango salsa – the same one that’s prepared fresh daily for our dip case.
BBQ Ribs: Stew’s meaty ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender and bursting with flavor. You might need an extra pack of napkins for these! And while you’re at our BBQ counter, don’t forget to stock up on BBQ pulled pork, BBQ smoked brisket and BBQ smoked short ribs. Also grab some fried mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers, and chicken fries for the kids!
Chicken Wings: Stew’s sells more than 125,000 pounds of chicken wings every Super Bowl Sunday! Flavors include Crispy Original, Honey BBQ, Buffalo, Italian, Baked Red Sweet Chili, Baked Teriyaki, Baked Original, Boneless BBQ, and Boneless Buffalo. Plus, swing by Stew’s Wing Bar to customize your very own bucket of chicken wings – we won’t tell if you don’t feel like sharing! (Selection will vary by store.)
Meatball Mania: Whether you serve ‘em on a grinder roll with sauce, stick a toothpick in ‘em, or toss ‘em with a mound of spaghetti, meatballs are a hearty and soul-warming addition to any menu. Visit our meat department to pick up our handmade beef and chicken meatballs, made fresh daily by Stew’s butchers.
Chicken Chili: Stew Leonard’s award-winning Chicken Chili has been a fan favorite for more than a decade. Hearty and bursting with chunks of chicken and three different types of beans, this zesty chili is best enjoyed with a hearty slice of freshly baked bread from Bethy’s Bakery.
Healthy Choices: Shrimp platters, fruit bowls, and a bevy of meatless options – including Beyond Meat patties and plant-based crab cakes – are a fresh and easy way to lighten up game day.
Super-Sweet Treats: Win or lose, no gameday celebration is complete without a few sweet treats to cap off the night. Bethy’s Bakery will offer football-themed and decorated platters of cookies, brownies and in addition to Stew’s classic desserts, like our freshly baked Chocolate Chip Cookies.
About Stew Leonard’s
Stew Leonard’s, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has seven stores in Norwalk, Danbury, and Newington, Conn.; in East Meadow, Farmingdale & Yonkers, N.Y.; and in Paramus, N.J. Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop.
