The Connecticut Farm Table Cookbook Signing at Stew Leonard’s Norwalk Store
Local Authors Showcase Bumper Crop of Recipes Featuring the Best of Connecticut’s Farm-Inspired Fare

Local authors Tracey Medeiros and Christy Colasurdo will sign copies of their new cookbook, The Connecticut Farm Table Cookbook, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Stew Leonard’s Norwalk store on Saturday, June 6.
From top-rated farm-to-table restaurants to seafood shacks, to roadside vegetable stands to organic cafés, the cuisine of the Nutmeg State reflects the bounty of its fields and waterways. The Connecticut Farm Table Cookbook features a collection of recipes from over 100 of Connecticut’s best-loved eateries is a celebration of the local and the seasonal: heirloom apples, farmstand tomatoes, nutrient-dense microgreens, artisan chevre, foraged mushrooms, sustainably-raised beef, Long Island Sound scallops, and single-origin honey.
Readers will also enjoy the fascinating profiles of local chefs, restaurants, cheesemongers, and purveyors of sustainable meats and seafood. This celebration of Connecticut’s local farm-to-table food scene is a collection to savor and return to again and again.
Stew Leonard’s will sell the book at the special price of $17.99 each. During the book signing event, a sample of Beet and Carrot Slaw with Raspberry Vinaigrette (page 48), one of the recipes featured in the cookbook, will be available for customers to taste. The dish will also be available for purchase at Stew Leonard’s salad bar.
Tracey Medeiros is a food writer, food stylist, and recipe developer and tester. She is also the author of The Vermont Farm Table Cookbook (The Countryman Press) and Dishing Up Vermont (Storey Publishing) honored as 2010 National Indie Excellence Awards Finalist and 2009 Best Books Award Finalist (USA Book News). She travels regionally as a guest cooking instructor sharing her commitment to the sustainable food movement while providing skillful cooking demonstrations.
Christy Colasurdo is the former Special Sections Editor at New York magazine, an award-winning writer, and co-founder of a company delivering wholesome foods from small Vermont farms to customers’ front doors. She lives in Westport, CT, with her family, and serves on the Board at Wakeman Town Farm and Sustainability Center. This is her third book.
