Stew’s in Farmingdale: First Annual Turkey Brigade

** MEDIA AND PHOTO OPPORTUNITY**

STEW LEONARD’S HOSTS 1st ANNUAL TURKEY BRIGADE IN FARMINGDALE

Farm-Fresh Retailer Distributes More Than 2,000 Turkeys to Families in Need This Holiday

WHAT:
Stew Leonard’s continues its long-standing tradition of giving thanks to the communities it serves with its 36th Annual “Turkey Brigade,” taking place on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 11 a.m.  2,190 turkeys are being distributed to more than 100 churches, civic groups, elderly housing and senior nutrition programs, and schools the Norwalk, Newington & Danbury, Connecticut and Farmingdale & Yonkers, New York communities to help provide Thanksgiving Day meals for families in need.

This is the first year that Stew Leonard’s new store in Farmingdale, N.Y., which is scheduled to open in early 2016, will hold the event.

Listeners of Connoisseur Media of Long Island’s family of radio stations (including WALK 97.5, 103.1 MAX FM, 1100 WHLI, K-98.3, and 94.3 The Shark) nominated charities in their communities to receive turkeys as part of this year’s Turkey Brigade. The charities were then selected by a panel of judges at Connoisseur Media of Long Island as the recipients of Stew Leonard’s first annual Turkey Brigade in Farmingdale.

WHO:
Stew Leonard’s Farmingdale store, which will open in January 2016, will donate turkeys to 23 area organizations:
