STEW LEONARD’S HOSTS SECOND ANNUAL TURKEY BRIGADE IN FARMINGDALE
Farm-Fresh Retailer Distributes More Than 2,000 Turkeys to Families in Need This Holiday
Farm fresh food store Stew Leonard’s continues its long-standing tradition of giving thanks to the communities it serves with its company-wide 37th Annual “Turkey Brigade,” taking place on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 10 a.m. 2,190 turkeys are being distributed to more than 100 churches, civic groups, elderly housing and senior nutrition programs, and schools in the Norwalk, Newington & Danbury, Connecticut and Farmingdale & Yonkers, New York communities to help provide Thanksgiving Day meals for families in need.
Stew Leonard’s opened in Farmingdale, N.Y. in January 2016. This is the second year that the Farmingdale store will hold the event.

St. Vincent De Paul Society – OLPH Church in Lindenhurst, NY

Walter O’ Connell Copiague High School in Copiague, NY
Woodward Parkway Elementary School in Farmingdale, NY
*Listeners of Connoisseur Media of Long Island’s family of radio stations (including WALK 97.5, 103.1 MAX FM, 1100 WHLI, K-98.3, and 94.3 The Shark) nominated charities in their communities to receive turkeys as part of this year’s Turkey Brigade. Boots on the Ground NY, Seaford High School Student Council Food Drive, St. Brigid’s Church Food Pantry, and Island Harvest were selected by a panel of judges at Connoisseur Media of Long Island as the recipients of Stew Leonard’s second annual Turkey Brigade in Farmingdale.
