Chocolate Covered Strawberries

An easy and elegant dessert that has a real WOW factor! 
Use fresh, ripe strawberries for this make-ahead treat.

Semisweet (or chocolate of your choice)

1. Clean the strawberries and rinse them off in a strainer and pat dry to remove any excess water. place them in a bowl and bring them to room temperature.


2. Line a sheet pan with wax or parchment paper. This is where you will place the finished strawberries to set.


3. Melt 1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels in the top of a double boiler (or small saucepan) over hot, but not boiling water. Make sure the flame is low and stir the chocolate constantly.


4. Once the chocolate has melted, turn off the flame and begin to dip the berries one at a time, and carefully twirl in the chocolate.


5. After dipping, carefully place on the lined sheet pan and let it set. Store the sheet pan in ther refirgerator until you are ready to serve. Remove the berries about 15 minutes before serving.
