Baked Ciabatta Bread with Melted Cheddar and Tomato

Crisp yet chewy, ciabatta bread can stand up to this sandwich’s gooey, melted cheddar and pomodoro sauce.

Sliced in half lengthwise

Or tomato sauce

Cut into 6 slices

Fresh sliced or 2 tsp. dried.

1. Preheat oven to 450° degrees.

 

2. Combine the olive oil and garlic in a bowl. Spoon it evenly over
the two halves of bread.

 

3. Spoon the pomodoro sauce over the bread. Place three tomato slices on each half. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over everything.

 

4. Place in the oven for 10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and beginning to brown. To serve, slice crosswise into serving pieces.
