Mixed

1.  Season both sides of your brisket with salt & pepper and sear both sides in a large pan over medium high heat in ½ cup oil for about 3 to 4 minutes per side.

 

2.  Place the cabbage, carrots, onions and celery in the bottom of a large roasting pan, place the brisket on top.

 

3.  Mix the remaining ingredients in a bowl and pour the mixture over the brisket and cover with aluminum foil.

 

4.  Bake at 350 degrees until your brisket is fork tender, about 2 ½ hours.

 

5.  Remove brisket from the oven and pan, let rest 10 minutes before cutting.

 

6.  Carve the brisket against the grain and serve with a generous amount of the pan gravy.
