WHAT:

Stew Leonard’s announces the store’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony, a tradition for more than 30 years,
featuring a tree donated by a local resident. This year’s tree is a giant 41-foot tall evergreen, planted that
many years ago by Norwalk resident Anna Keyes, who donated the spruce tree after it grew too tall for her house and yard.
In exchange for her donation, the Keyes family will receive a free landscaping makeover from Stew Leonard’s Garden Shop.
The tree will be lit with more than 14,000 lights – a Stew’s tree lighting record. New this year is a raffle for free Christmas
items held by Santa Claus himself, including presents such as a Balsam Christmas tree, Stew Leonard’s gift certificates and holiday
gift baskets. In addition, Stew Leonard’s will hold a toy drive to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Connecticut.
Anyone who brings a toy to the Christmas Tree Lighting receives an additional raffle ticket. All revelers can enjoy free cookies,
cocoa and hot apple cider as well as caroling entertainment. And, no matter what the weather forecast is, Stew Leonard’s has arranged
for it to snow, to add to the holiday atmosphere.
