STEW LEONARD'S IS MOO-VING INTO NEWINGTON
Ground Breaking Ceremony Celebrates First Location in the Hartford Area
WHAT:
Stew Leonard's Newington store will kick-off construction of their first new food store in seven
years with a celebratory ground breaking ceremony Thursday, May 11 at 10:00 A.M. Town officials,
Stew Leonard's family, team members and some special guests will help get things MOO-ving.
The location of the new Stew Leonard's store is the 112,800 square foot former Caldor's building,
located at 3475 Berlin Turnpike, in Newington, Connecticut. The family owned food store is slated
to open in early 2007, after making $15 million dollars in building renovations.
WHO:
Stew Leonard Sr., Founder of Stew Leonard's food stores, Stew Leonard, Jr., President and CEO of Stew Leonard's and Newington's Mayor Rodney B. Mortensen will each speak at the event. Also in attendance will be the State Government and Town Officials as well as Stew Leonard family members and Stew Leonard's team members.
