WHAT

Muggles and wizards of all ages are invited to Stew Leonard’s for the midnight release of the new Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince book beginning at 11:00 P.M. Friday, July 15, with books going on sale at the stroke of midnight on Saturday, July 16. The Potter Parties will take place simultaneously at all three Stew Leonard’s locations and consist of:

40 percent-off retail price plus free soda
● Stew Leonard’s is selling the book at $17.99 (40 percent off the retail price of $29.99) and also giving customers a free two-liter bottle of soda with every book purchased.

Costume Contest
● Prizes will be awarded for customers who come to the event dressed as their favorite Harry Potter character, including book giveaways, free ice cream and Stew Leonard’s gift certificates.

Make a Magic Wand Craft
● Children can make their own magic wand – spells not included!

Free Treats
● Hungry Hogwarts can feast on cookies, milk and popcorn as they wait for the clock to strike 12.

● As a follow-up to the event, anyone who purchases a book is invited to enter the “Harry Potter Book Review” contest. After reading the new Harry Potter book, submit a review to Stew Leonard’s by the following Friday, July 22. The best reviews will be posted in store and on the web, as well as awarded prizes such as free ice cream tokens.

The soon-to-be released Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the sixth title for author, J.K. Rowling. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the story of Harry Potter's sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where the battle of good and evil goes to a new high.

● Stew’s stores may be closed, but the outdoor hoedown area will turn into a virtual Hogwarts with a magic wand making class, free treats and a Harry Potter Costume Contest.

Saturday, July 16 12:01 A.M. to 1:00 A.M.
● Purchase the newly released book for 40 percent off retail price and receive a free 2-liter soda, too!
