STEW LEONARD'S DANBURY STORE HOSTS
15TH ANNUAL TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY

COMMUNITY AND MEDIA WELCOME

Wednesday, December 2nd from 4:30 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.

WHAT:
Stew Leonard's Danbury store is kicking off the 2009 holiday season with its 15th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting celebration, taking place on Wednesday, December 2nd. The festivities begin at 4:30pm with the Long Hill Fire Department and Coca-Cola Christmas Trucks on display for all to marvel at and Santa leading the crowd through holiday carols while his elves are on hand for face painting. The countdown to the tree lighting takes place at 5:00pm, followed by continued caroling led by Santa, Mrs. Claus and Stew Leonard's Wow the Cow and Daisy the Duck. Hot cocoa and cookies will be served to keep everyone warm.

This year's tree, a 35-foot White Spruce, was rescued from loggers clearing a tract of land for building houses. McKensie Durkin, a 10 year old student at Washington Primary School and son of one of the loggers, will have the honor of pulling the switch to light the tree at 5:00pm. McKensie was recently honored with a Good Citizen Award by the Connecticut Daughters of the American Revolution for his many good deeds in helping others.
