HOURS OF OPERATION: UNIQUE STORE FEATURES:
• 100 freshly-made, chef-prepared gourmet items on the buffet, which also feature best-selling family recipes from Mrs. Leonard • 200 seat dining area • 80 percent of the products sold in the store are fresh – that is, brought in daily from farms, ranches or piers or prepared directly in-store. Just some of the products Stew’s makes on the premises daily in front of the customers: • Bagels, artisan breads, croissants, muffins, cakes and cookies in Bethy’s bakery • Fresh mozzarella • Hand-rolled sushi, fresh kettle soups, and brick oven pizza • Fresh-squeezed juice and in-store roasted coffee • Custom-cut and trimmed meat by expertly trained butchers • Milk from Stew’s award-winning Ellington dairy farm • Soft-serve ice cream made from cream from our dairy farm • More than 100 free samples of best selling items and new products are demoed each week in every department. • Eight state-of-the-art animatronics, including four new “shows” unique to the Newington store: Miss Diva Cheese, Bread Chimes, The Wonderful World of Milk and Three Chicks and a Rooster • When a customer spends $100, the register “Moos” and the customer is rewarded with a free ice cream or cup of coffee.

• Store received 3,000 applications • Opening with 750 years of experience with 80 team members promoted from the other stores • Starting salary is $8.50/hour and the average full time salary is $31,000/year • 40 percent of the jobs are non-retail, many highly skilled
