TRICKS AND TREATS IN-STORE AT STEW LEONARD’S HALLOWEEN HAYRIDE SPOOKTACULAR
WHAT:
Stew Leonard’s annual Halloween Hayride Spooktacular is a 15-minute family-friendly hayride featuring 25 different vignettes, ranging from scenes of popular movie and television characters, to traditional holiday settings, which illuminate to a choreographed musical light show. The children receive their "treat" of candy after the ride.
WHO:
Stew Leonard’s is known as "The Disneyland of Dairy Stores" for their in-store entertainment, especially around the holidays. For Halloween:
- The Garden Shop becomes a sea of orange, as 50,000 Connecticut grown pumpkins arrive, along with Halloween decorations, corn stalks and hay bales.
- Every Friday night in October, beginning on October 5, Stew Leonard’s will show a Halloween movie in the outdoor "Hay Bale" Theater and serve free hot chocolate, warm apple cider and popcorn. There is no cost to attend and movies start at 7:00 P.M.
- Pumpkin-themed food can be found in every department, such as pumpkin soup and pumpkin-flavored soft ice cream, to pumpkin spiced coffee and cookies.
- Team members even get in the spirit, dressing in costume during the week leading up to October 31.
- On Halloween, children can trick or treat in the store and receive free ice cream if they are in costume.

I-95 to exit 16, towards East Norwalk. Turn North on East Avenue and then make a right onto Westport Avenue/US-1. Stew Leonard’s is 200 yards up the hill, on the right hand side.

The Halloween Hayride Spooktackular opens Saturday, October 6, 2007 and runs through October 31, 2007.
Hours of operation:
- Monday through Thursday: 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M
- Friday: 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
- Saturday and Sunday 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Cost for the hayride is $1.00 per person.
