NEW TRICKS AND TREATS IN-STORE AT STEW LEONARD’S HALLOWEEN HAYRIDE SPOOKTACULAR
WHAT:
Little ghosts and goblins are invited to Stew Leonard’s stores throughout the month of October to
participate in some spooktacular Halloween-themed activities.
In the Norwalk, Conn. store, a 15-minute family-friendly hayride takes place through a pumpkin patch
and into a “haunted” underground garage. New this year is a six-minute “Fright Light” show – a choreographed
musical light show where portions of a Halloween-themed scene illuminate to the beat and tempo of a musical
montage. Every Friday night at 7:00 P.M. the Norwalk store will also show a free Halloween movie in the
outdoor “Hay Bale” Theater and serve hot chocolate, warm apple cider and popcorn.
The Danbury, Conn. and Yonkers, NY stores also have free hayrides through the pumpkin patch and children
receive a candy treat at the end of the ride. On weekends, the Yonkers birthday party team conducts free
face painting for kids.
WHO:
Stew Leonard’s is known as "The Disneyland of Dairy Stores" for their in-store entertainment, especially around the holidays.
For Halloween:
-
The Garden Shop becomes a sea of orange, as 50,000 Connecticut grown pumpkins arrive,
along with Halloween decorations, corn stalks and hay bales.
-
Pumpkin-themed food can be found in every department, such as pumpkin soup and pumpkin-flavored soft ice cream, to pumpkin spiced coffee and cookies.
- Team members even get in the spirit, dressing in costume during the week leading up to October 31.
