STEW LEONARD’S INVITES COMMUNITY TO CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT WITH ANNUAL TREE LIGHTING
Celebration features Santa Clause and Caroling Elves, Cocoa and Cookies
COMMUNITY AND MEDIA WELCOME FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1, 5:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.
WHAT:
Stew Leonard’s Danbury store brings the season to life with their annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony,
featuring a tree donated by a local resident. The 40-foot Norway spruce, which will be adorned with more
than 12,000 lights, was donated by the Cerminara family of Danbury. Palma Cerminara is a Stew Leonard’s
team member who has been with Stew Leonard’s since 1993.
To get the crowd in the spirit, Santa and his elves will lead the crowd in singing holiday carols. No matter
what the weather forecast is, Stew Leonard’s has arranged for it to “snow” to add to the holiday atmosphere.
Complimentary hot chocolate and coffee, as well as Christmas cookies and donuts will be served. Rachel and Trinket
the elves will be on hand to keep children entertained with face painting and balloon animals. .
WHO:

Santa’s Elves will perform holiday songs beginning at 5:00 P.M.

Rachel and Trinket the elves entertain children with free face painting and animal balloons.
- Santa and Mrs. Clause arrive on a specially-decorated hayride wagon to hand out free candy canes and pose for pictures with children.
- The Cerminara Family of Danbury will be recognized for their tree donation.
- Everyone then counts down to the Christmas tree lighting. As the tree it lit, "Deck the Halls" will be perormed.

Friday, December 1, beginning at 5:00 P.M. and concluding at approximately 6:00 P.M.
