Stew Leonard's Newington Store Offers Children's Cooking Classes
Stew Leonard's Newington store is cooking classes for children this winter. The children receive hands-on instruction in preparing various products as well as learn about the importance of measuring, cooperation skills in the kitchen and the importance of food safety.
Price is per child per class, which is payable at the time of registration. Classes will be held in Stew Leonard's Executive Kitchen on the second floor of the grocery store. Children do not need to be accompanied by an adult.

Super Sunday Snacks! ($15 per child)
Get ready for the Super Bowl and WOW your family and friends with some fun half-time goodies! We're making Stuffed Potato Skins, Pigs in a Blanket, and our very own Quarterback Snack Mix. Kids ages 5-12 are welcome and registration is $15 per child. Pre-register at Newington Customer Service please.
Friday, February 10, 2012 -- 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Advanced Baking ($25 per child)
We will make the popular Chocolate Molten Lava Cake for Valentine's Day with Raspberry Sauce and learn to work with fondant as we decorate cupcakes. Kids ages 8-12 are welcome and cost of the class is $25 per child. Pre-register at Newington Customer Service please.
Saturday, February 11, 2012 -- 4:00pm to 5:30pm
Valentine's Day Cupcake Decorating ($15 per child)
Say it with love and frosting this Valentine's Day! Kids will decorate their own Valentine's Day cupcakes as well as a take-home box with hearts and glitter. Kids ages 5-12 are welcome and cost of the class is $15 per child. Pre-register at Newington Customer Service please.

President's Day Cooking Class ($15 per child)
Come celebrate President's Day with some cold weather comfort food! We will be making personal mac and cheese and cherry turnovers with icing! Kids ages 5-12 are welcome and the cost of the class is $15. Pre-register at Newington Customer Service.
