Nothing is worse than the last minute call you get from friends and relatives: they are in the neighborhood and decided to stop by. One fast and inexpensive way to create your own impromptu party is with cheese. Putting together a cheese board is the easiest and quickest way to feed your guests and impress them at the same time.
A really great cheese board is one that includes a variety of cheese types (e.g., strong and mild, soft and hard) and a variety of milk types (e.g., cow, sheep, and goat milk).
Below is Stew's formula for the perfect cheese board. Cut everything into bite size pieces. Arrange them on a cutting board or platter. Include some toothpicks (and maybe open a few bottles of wine...) Enjoy!
