Here’s my wife, Kim, at the Norwalk Wine Store, putting together an order of Rose wine for a customer.

 

How long did it take for Pat Dentato’s son, Nick, to reach the top of Mount Kilimanjaro?

6On day 8, Nick reached the top and what was the first thing he did? Take a photo with the Stew’s bag!

 

All the store presidents on an oyster boat. Did anyone fall overboard?

7We had a great day AND managed to keep everyone on board.

8We visited Wegman’s in Richmond, VA, and were impressed by their presentation of meats in the deli section. As a result, Danbury tried redesigning the deli case and in 2 weeks, the pre-packed cold cut sales doubled!

 

Yonkers’ knows how to celebrate! Can you tell where we are?

9Playland for the Yonker’s picnic. It made me smile to see everyone enjoying the day with their families.

What was special about our visit to Tom Leonard’s in Richmond, VA?

11Tom Leonard is now married! We had a great weekend celebrating my brother’s marriage to Karen.

 

Talked to The Weather Channel about how the weather’s affecting produce prices? What did I say?

12The cold and rainy spring weather caused a lot of gaps for produce. Prices were almost double for products like watermelons and corn.

 

Do you know Hayden’s story? What a nice young man.  

13Hayden, in the Danbury store, met a customer whose house had just burned down and the family lost everything. He exchanged phone numbers with the customer and the next day showed up at her door with bags full of clothing. Before leaving to serve in the U.S. Navy.

 

What’s Martha Stew’s latest project? Chef Luboff and I loved it!

14We tested out Marley Spoon—a box full of fresh ingredients to cook a meal that get’s delivered to your home. How can we apply the concept to Stew’s?

 

Fred, Joann and I did the HIGHEST performing Facebook LIVE video. How many views do you think we got?

Who’s the rockstar at the rock?

16My dad loves greeting customers at the door. He was talking to so many people, it almost caused a traffic jam!

 

What did we serve at the Stewie the Duck volunteer dinner?

17We dumped big pots of lobsters and clams right onto the table and dug in. It was a wonderful night to thank the volunteers for all that they do for the charity.

 

This supplier has been with us since the day we opened. Where’s he going?

18Billy Gerardi just retired after 20 plus years in the industry. We’ll miss him.

 

What’s growing behind my daughter Chase and I?

19Corn! We took a trip to the local, 4th generation family business, March Farms in Bethlehem, CT. They deliver sweet, fresh corn to Stew’s every morning.

 

Norwalk’s Ripken All Star team? Did they win?

20The Cal Ripken 10U All Star Baseball Team went all the way to the WORLD series. They didn’t end up winning, but there’s always next year!
