2018 HALLOWEEN HAPPENINGS AT STEW LEONARD’S YONKERS STORE
Stew Leonard’s Yonkers store announces the Halloween Happenings it is hosting throughout the month of October 2018.
Halloween Hay Bale Theater
This October 2018, Stew’s Hoedown will be transformed into a Hay Bale Theater to show a free children’s Halloween-themed movie! The movies will be shown on Friday, October 12 and Friday, October 26.
Tickets to the Haybale Theater, which are free, may be reserved via Eventbrite.com (search for Stew Leonard’s in Yonkers); tickets for the October 12 movie will be posted on Eventbrite.com on October 6 while tickets for the October 26 movie will be posted on Eventbrite.com on October 20. Complimentary refreshments are served.
In case of inclement weather, the movie will be shown in the Stew Leonard’s conference room. The conference room has limited space and seating will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Halloween Hayride Spooktacular
This free and family-friendly hayride starts Monday October 1, 2018 and runs through Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Hours of operation are:
Monday through Thursday: 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
Friday: 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Saturday through Sunday: 10:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Free Face Painting
Every Saturday and Sunday in the month of October from Noon until 3:00 p.m., children are invited to have their faces painted for free.
Pumpkin carver Lenny Calvin, former contestant on Food Network’s Halloween Wars Season 6, will be at the store on Sunday, October 14, 2018 to bewitch shoppers with his elaborate Halloween-themed carvings on the store’s pumpkins.
The carving will take place from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Garden Shop for customers to see and enjoy as they pick out their own pumpkins. The carver will use clay tools and X-Acto knives to create a spooky scene on the pumpkin.
Trick or Treat
On Wednesday, October 24, 2018, children are invited to dress in their costumes and come to Stew Leonard’s to go trick or treating throughout the store from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. Children can pick up a map from Customer Service and use the map to find treats throughout the store. Advance registration is not required for this free event.
Stew Leonard’s Barkfest
This Halloween, dogs are invited to Stew Leonard’s for a howling good time at the store’s first Barkfest event on October 27, 2018! Customers may bring their pups dressed in their best Halloween costumes and enter for their chance to win a Bubba’s Barkery Gift Basket valued at $100, which contains fresh dog treats made in-house at Stew Leonard’s. To enter a dog, shoppers are kindly asked to bring a small bag or can of dog food and all collected dog food will be donated to a local pet shelter. In Yonkers, the event will begin at Noon and a winner will be selected by a panel of Stew Leonard’s judges by 12:30 p.m. For complete rules, please see in-store.
Halloween Trick or Treat Brunch with our Characters
On Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28, 2018, Stew Leonard’s in Yonkers will host a Halloween breakfast with our most beloved costumed characters including Wow the Cow! There are three seating times at 10:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. The farm-fresh menu at 10 a.m. will feature pancakes, sausage, eggs, home fries, fresh fruit, orange juice, and coffee. At 12:30 p.m., the same breakfast selections from the 10 a.m. menu will be served alongside pasta and chicken. The 2:00 p.m. seating will feature a lunch of pasta, chicken, salad, assorted veggies & dip, finger sandwiches, cookies, drinks.
Adult tickets cost $14.99/each and children age 12 and under are $9.99/each. Tickets will go on sale Monday, October 1, 2018 on a first come, first served basis. Please visit Eventbrite.com and search for Stew Leonard’s in Yonkers to purchase tickets.
On Halloween day, Wednesday, October 31, 2018 children who come to the store in their costumes will receive a free small ice cream.
