2018 HALLOWEEN HAPPENINGS AT STEW LEONARD’S FARMINGDALE STORE
Stew Leonard’s Farmingdale store announces the Halloween Happenings it is hosting throughout the month of October 2018.
For the third consecutive year, Stew Leonard’s will open their pumpkin patch in front of the farm fresh food store in Farmingdale. Items for sale include Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkins ($5.99/ea. or 3/$15), Sugar Pumpkins ($3.29/ea. or 2/$6), Mini Pumpkins and Gourds ($1.19/ea. or 6/$6), 9-inch Mums ($5.99/ea. or 3/$15), Dried Corn Stalks ($8.99 or 2/$16), Hay Bales ($8.99/ea.) and firewood ($16.99/2 cubic feet).
Families are welcome to snap photos of their little ones in the pumpkin patch.
Kids Hay Maze – Free!
Kids of all ages will delight in Stew Leonard’s Hay Maze, located under the tent in Stew Leonard’s Pumpkin Patch. The Hay Maze is open every day in October from 8:00 A.M. until dark. This free, family-friendly hay maze is festively decorated with pumpkins, scarecrows, and corn stalks.
Halloween Hay Bale Theater
This October 2018, Stew’s in Farmingdale will host an open-air Hay Bale Theater to show a free children’s Halloween-themed movie! Complimentary juice and popcorn are served to all. The movies begin at 6:00 P.M., with seating opening at 5:30 P.M. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Pumpkin carver Lenny Calvin, former contestant on Food Network’s Halloween Wars Season 6, will be at the store on Sunday, October 21, 2018 to bewitch shoppers with his elaborate Halloween-themed carvings on the store’s pumpkins.
The carving will take place from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Garden Shop for customers to see and enjoy as they pick out their own pumpkins. The carver will use clay tools and X-Acto knives to create a spooky scene on the pumpkin.
Trick or Treat
On Tuesday, October 23, 2018 children are invited to dress in their costumes and come to Stew Leonard’s to go trick or treating throughout the store from 4:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. Children can pick up a map from Customer Service and use the map to find treats throughout the store.
Halloween Costume Brunch
On Saturday, October 27, 2018 Stew Leonard’s of Farmingdale will host a Halloween Costume Party brunch, with a special appearance by WOW the Cow. Guest can enjoy arts & crafts, games, food, and tons of fun! Two brunches will be held at 10:00 a.m. and at Noon. Tickets are $12.99/each for children age 11 and under and $14.99/each for children age 12 and up, including adults. Seating is limited; tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite.com by searching for Stew Leonard’s of Farmingdale.
Stew Leonard’s Barkfest Canceled due to inclement weather
This Halloween, dogs are invited to Stew Leonard’s for a howling good time at the store’s first Barkfest event on October 27, 2018! Customers may bring their pups dressed in their best Halloween costumes and enter for their chance to win a Bubba’s Barkery Gift Basket valued at $100, which contains fresh dog treats made in-house at Stew Leonard’s. To enter a dog, shoppers are kindly asked to bring a small bag or can of dog food and all collected dog food will be donated to a local pet shelter. In Farmingdale, the event will begin at 4:00 p.m. and a winner will be selected by a panel of Stew Leonard’s judges by 4:30 p.m. For complete rules, please see in-store.
On Halloween day, Wednesday, October 31, children who come to the store in their costumes will receive a free small ice cream.
