2015 HALLOWEEN HAPPENINGS AT STEW LEONARD’S NEWINGTON STORE
Stew Leonard’s Newington store announces the Halloween Happenings it is hosting throughout the month of October 2015, including free family movie nights on Fridays, a free Hay Maze, and family-friendly activities throughout the month!
Halloween Hay Bale Theater
This October 2015, Stew’s Hoedown will be transformed into a Hay Bale Theater to show a free children’s Halloween-themed movie! The movies will be shown on Friday, October 2; Friday, October 9; Friday, October 16; and Friday, October 23. For movie titles and additional information, please see in-store.
The movies begin at 7:00 P.M., with seating opening at 6:30 P.M. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Kids can also dance to Halloween music with their favorite Stew’s characters before the movie starts!
Kids Hay Maze
Kids of all ages will delight in Stew Leonard’s Hay Maze, located under the tent in the Pumpkin Patch. The Hay Maze is open every day in October from 8:00 A.M. until dark.
Pumpkin Carving Demo
Pumpkin carver Lenny Calvin will be at the store on Saturday, October 10 to bewitch shoppers with his elaborate Halloween-themed etchings on the store’s pumpkins.
The carving will take place from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. for customers to see and enjoy as they pick out their own pumpkins. The carver will use knives, chisels, and X-Acto knives to create a spooky scene on the pumpkins.

Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.; Friday, October 30 from 9:30 a.m. -10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.;
$15 per Child or $25 for two siblings (parent must accompany child)
Children will decorate Halloween-themed cupcakes, including candy corn, witches, and black cats! We will also decorate a mini pumpkin.
Friday, October 30, 2015 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
$25 per Child
Ages 6 and up (parent does not have to accompany child)
A ghoulishly good time! Children will decorate Halloween cupcakes and other ghoulish treats.
Halloween Day Character Breakfast
On Saturday, October 31, 2015, Stew Leonard’s in Newington will host a Halloween breakfast with our most beloved costumed characters including Wow the Cow! The farm-fresh menu will feature bacon, eggs, sausage, bagels, donuts fresh fruit, orange juice, milk, coffee and tea. There are two seating times (9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.). Adult tickets cost $12.99/each and children age 12 and under are $9.99/each. Children and parents are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes!
Trick-or-Treat with the Stew Leonard’s Characters
On Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 4:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., children are invited to dress up in their costumes and come to Stew Leonard’s to go trick or treating throughout the store. Each department in the store will have a candy station for kids to stop at. Children must come with their own bags. Stew Leonard’s famous characters, including mascot Wow the Cow, will be available for taking photos with the children.
